Since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic, billions of surgical face masks have been used and disposed of. At Singapore University of Technology and Design, my design team was tasked to propose a solution to address the issue of sustainability due to the widespread use of disposable surgical masks, and reduce the negative impacts on the environment.
